not so lonely yet

the wifey is officially out of the country. she left saturday morning at 4am, and is somewhere near st thomas right now enjoying the good life on a cruise. lucky duck. we generally go most places together, but an old friend of hers invited her on an annual family vacation and she is enjoying all of this FOR FREE. cool, huh?? she waited until friday night to pack, so we were up til after midnight stuffing enough clothes to clothe an army into her new, pink luggage.( yes, it's pink. and not just pink -- it's like pepto-bismol pink. with black piping. it's so GIRL!) we had the radio up, and shared a bottle of wine. i thought about posting after she went to bed, because everyone says drunk posts are fun... but i opted for a text message war with an ex boyfriend. never really a good idea. i get fiesty and wind up feeling like a goofball the next morning. (you know who you are -- sorry 'bout that.)

saturday, i spent the day enjoying my "alone time." it's kind of weird not having her around, but i'm not missing her TOO bad yet. it's actually been kinda nice having some "me" time. i went to the park, read a bit, and people watched. (i always like people watching, but wish i could be invisible so that i didn't look like a creepy weirdo just staring at people. hehe.) i then had dinner with a good friend of mine from dallas, and we went out dancing afterwards. a mutual friend of ours reserved the VIP room for his birthday celebration, so there were a lot of our friends out. mucho fun. there was one guy that came, but none of my girlies knew who he was. i guess he used to work with the birthday boy and i HAVE NO IDEA why i've never met this man before. he is very successful, tall, good-looking, single, AND SPANISH.

CHA-CHING.

the VIP room was filled with about 20 females, ALL of which were blonde and beautiful. that might sound like heaven to some of you, but thank the good Lord, there are a few men out there that prefer something different. most of these men include anyone not caucasian. there were 2 gals pretty much all over him, but about 15 minutes later... i received a goose and tonic - compliments of "mister latino, in the suit." that is a direct quote from the cocktail waitress. hehe. i looked over, and it was GAME ON, WAYNE. he came over, and we hung out for the rest of the evening. turns out, he was born in mexico city but raised in Twin Cities. his job brought him to the midwest and he moved to tulsa from dallas. he is very successful, and goodness gracious he is a smoothie. he is polite, he can dance, he is tri lingual, he has money coming out of his ears - and did i mention he is latino? yeah. so, like most of my potential suitors --we'll see in about two weeks. i never get my hopes up too high for anyone, but we'll see. i'll keep ya posted.

(btw -- the bachelorette/cooking dinner guy is GONE. he was booted not very long after the bachelorette viewing and i don't think i told you about it. just like to keep you posted. "why?" you ask? well, he is the baby of the family and mooches off of his parents. he's 29. he blatently hit on my wife when we were out on a double date.... WHILE i was in the bathroom. um, he goes out almost every night and gets hammered. plus, he had a cat and i'm allergic. that's more than enough reason, i think!) :-)

i would like to post about "the contender" but i think this post is long enough. i will post more later about that. all i can say now, is that if you have any respect for the sport of boxing -- you should be watching this series.

HAPPY MONDAY!
