weekend fun

wow. i am still recovering from the bachelorette party this weekend. we took a ton of pictures. i should have one set this afternoon, and there are several more that i will be posting when i get access to them.

we drove down on saturday, checked into the hotel and started getting dressed for dinner. there were 10 of us at dinner, and we met up with the rest of the crew at the dance club. we happen to know the owner, so we had VIP access and a few tables reserved. there was already a huge line by the time we arrived, so it was nice to just float on by everyone. it's not what you know, it's who you know! we stayed put all evening, and really had a great time. being that it was nice outside- they opened the patio up. the club is on the 4th floor of the building, so the view is pretty great from the balcony. good times, good times. the bachelorette had a lot of fun which is the most important thing - and the rest of us did, too. there was dancing, cocktails, flirting, and even a little brawl. ah, nothing like hiting a girl square in the jaw for messing with one of your friends. what's great about it, is that we are all grown women - no one really expected the situation to turn into a girl version of The Contender. the whole situation was over in about 3 minutes, so it's not like we...er i mean, they... beat the crap out of each other. there were some words, there was one punch - and that was it. about an hour later, she was still trying to talk smack to me....er, i mean, my friend.... but by then it was just really funny that she would even think about coming back after being clocked in the face. ahhhh, good times.

we all got back to the hotel safely. well, except for two of the girls who decided it would be better to go home with random guys. we did what we could to convince them otherwise, but you can't really reason with a drunk, 29-year old, single woman. we all drive in 2's, so on sunday morning the wife and i got up and around, and headed out. we stopped in bricktown ( that's what they call part of downtown OKC) and had some lunch. made friends with the owner of the bar/restaurant and got hook-ups for 2 weeks from now when we go down there for a birthday party. again, it's not what you know - it's who you know. we drove back to t-town, and pretty much just chilled for the rest of the evening. we caught up on all of our t.v. and hit the sack. i'm so not happy that it's monday again. i wish i only worked 3 days a week. maybe i need to quit wanting to date a musician, and get on to dating a rich man. the only problem with that is usually the rich ones are old and i just can't do that. ugh.

anyway, happy monday.
