happy monday.
it's raining. again. since when did oklahoma become more like seattle? ugh. it's seriously been raining since thursday. i've had enough!
so, this weekend was rather uneventful. worked friday night, and then went to a hole-in-the-wall bar for a cocktail or four. :) some guy was sitting next to us wearing a Texas hat..... poor bastard. he might as well had just hung himself. GO SOONERS! saturday, i got someone to cover my shift, and my girlfriend and i had lunch and went to a movie. we saw ladder 49 -- if you haven't seen it -- go. it is one of the best movies i've seen in a really long time. i bawled like a friggin baby. i mean, SOBBED. i'm such a sissy. sunday, i went to church as always. the sermon was on forgiveness. impeccable timing, since i'd like to strangle a few people. ok, really just one. but anyway - did my volunteer work with the teens that afternoon, and played hookey from church that night. my sister's birthday is today, and i had to get everything prepared for her. i also switched the clothes in my closet. fall/winter is quickly approaching.... so here come the boots, wool pants, and sweaters! right now, i'd probably be fine with a rain poncho. i also went shopping. bought some things for sister, some things for me. ok, ONE thing for sister.... MANY things for me. fabulous boots, a few skirts, shirts, and some smell good. i heart shopping. i don't do it very often, so when i splurge, i feel like i've committed a sin. but hey -- sin is usually fun, isn't it? :-)
my birthday is wednesday. i will be 26. i know this is not old by any means, but i'm having a hard time with it. i don't cry about it or anything, but geeze.... i just never thought i'd be 26. especially 26 with NO IDEA of what my future holds for me.
and that's about all i got right now. maybe more later.
